Trump Temper Tantrum

Trump and his incompetent stooges are throwing tantrums that are likely to last till the Inauguration, if not beyond. We saw what portends to make the actions of the GW Bush administration, when they intentionally screwed up the computers, files et al. for Obama’s crew, look childishly benign.

We can expect the Trump toadies and Little Donnie himself to totally eclipse the Bushies.

However childish, this isn’t childish games. This will negatively impact some 330 million Americans and untold millions more around the globe.

This at least will border on criminal behavior. Biden’s staff should document it all and prefer charges. Even if they are not convicted, they should have to pay dearly in attorneys fees.

All of this harm and inconvenience is more evidence, though no more is required, of Trump’s and his sycophants’ total lack of concern for anyone but themselves. It is stupefying that 70-plus million people in this country still had not realized that before November 3rd.

The word has leaked that Trump has told our country’s allies that he will not leave the White House – the People’s House.

The Secret Service, the U.S. Marshals, the military and others swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, not this most extreme version of egomania that exists.

The District Attorney of New York, the Southern District and their peers across the country need to all prefer charges, both civil and criminal against this scofflaw and have law enforcement personnel physically arrest him immediately after President Biden is sworn in, whether it be in the Oval office or elsewhere. Given his petulance, there is little chance of him attending the inauguration.

It would be the height of irony that, after claiming Hillary, Joe, Hunter, Barack and others should be locked up for their imaginary crimes, he would be so treated for actual crimes and scams.

Trump may try to pardon himself. I hope he does. If there is any decency in those incompetents he put on the Supreme Court, even they should not be able to stomach such an act. I have some hope that they would disallow that.

The irony is, according to stock market analysts, that if this bozo had taken what daddy gave him and simply put it into the market in index funds, he would have lived very comfortably on the dividends and grown his assets to a real $10 billion plus. Not a bad outcome for a functional illiterate with no known competency. But an absolutely unwarranted ego set him on a track that has caused untold death and harm, as well as hopefully reparable damage to our government and the body politic.

Once last thought. Several prominent Republicans, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Moscow Mitch and others have decided to refuse to recognize Biden as president. They are not merely refusing to allow Biden to govern the country. They are refusing to allow the people to have a government do its job for the people – ALL the people.

We will survive the idiotic installation of unqualified judges, barely, but we will. Biden will reverse the departure from the Paris Accords on climate. Biden will remove some of the strictures against Iran and the restrictions of travel from most Muslim countries. He will also reinstate regulations against rogue corporations. Ms. Lindsey, Ted and Mitch cannot stop that. So, is it really worth it to them to harm the entire population by refusing to confirm Biden’s cabinet and other matters?

I just mentioned regulations. There has been a constant drumbeat since Teddy Roosevelt that regulations are bad. Bull-dookey. Let’s call them what they are – protections. Clean air and water, safe food and medications, banning deceitful business practices, et cetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseum, protect us from unrestricted greed, avarice and rapacity. No corporation has ever fought regulation so that they can be benevolent.
