On His Way

We don’t have many choices in our quest for heroes. Stephen Hawking definitely qualifies. He gave us many memorable quotes, but one comes quickly to mind.

“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” We buy into the claim that man is the most intelligence of all the animals. Despite many examples to the contrary, it may be true. After all, we have adapted to a wider spectrum of climate than any other  species. I’ll try to come up with more supporting evidence. I see the inability and/or disinclination of conservatives to adapt as proof positive of their lack of intelligence.

The professor’s self-deprecation combined with his approach to science should guide us all. Don’t fear being proven wrong. If nothing in science was ever discovered to be wrong, there would be no advancement, We would be stuck with the place where we are. [click to continue…]

Class Warfare

March 4, 2018

in Economics,Politics

The parasites scream “class warfare” if anyone dare propose the least constraint upon their ability to subjugate the rest of us. They pretend that we are the aggressor and they the victim. Pure unadulterated balderdash.  They initiated class warfare shortly after the invention of agriculture. They created kingdoms. They created subjects. They created serfdom. [click to continue…]

We’ve Come To This

H ow far have we sunk? From the Founding Fathers to the whiny man-child is an incredible stretch. The differences beggar the imagination. [click to continue…]

There are different kinds of conservatives. The mixture is messy and it is difficult to understand how they can see themselves under the same banner.

There are the social conservatives. It matters not whether they are right or not. They are essentially rabid. Though they are in the minority, they are convinced of their right to impose their beliefs on everyone else.

There are the neo-cons. These are the ones that have never seen a war they didn’t love. Their only goal is to find an excuse for a war.

However, today we focus on the economic conservatives. The social conservatives have no need to think, as they hold THE TRUTH. The neo-cons fantasize themselves as John Wayne. You might hold some hope for the economic conservatives, as they profess to honor things that are measurable. If only that were so.  [click to continue…]

Accepting America

October 18, 2016

st-paul

America is in jeopardy. I survived the 8 years of a total incompetent W and his personal Rasputin. I considered becoming an expatriate but, though I had traveled the world for nearly 20 years, America is my home.

Things have changed. We again have a total incompetent running for the presidency but this one is a sociopath – a dangerous one. A whiny, spoiled brat thinks he is right and everyone else is wrong. If he loses, it’s not his fault. It’s someone else’s.

With a complete lack of understanding and appreciation of America, its values, its traditions and its people, he blithely imperils the very foundations of the world’s oldest continuously sitting democratic government.

Democracy relies on trust. A study found 31 possible incidences of voter ID fraud across the entire country over more than a decade. That should inspire and justify ones trust in our system. There is no need to be concerned about voters – Republican governors, attorneys general and Supreme Courts, but not the voters. There is certainly reason to be worried about a sizable percentage of the rabble he rouses.  [click to continue…]

Pence Bullshit

Mike is not as funny as Jim Carrey but Jim just cannot match him in insincerity. Mike spent most of the vice presidential debate denying that he and Donald ever said the nonsense that has been captured on video. [click to continue…]

Enough Already

bush-trumpRemember, it would be difficult to find many people that detest both Hillary and Donald more than do I. In addition to my disdain, I am desperately concerned for the future of this country, indeed the entire planet, should the maniac get control of the Supreme Court, the economy, education, the military and access to the button.

So, I feel compelled to address what Donald considers one of his strongest criticisms of Hillary. Nothing is more sacrosanct to him than the privacy of his tax returns. He is willing to take serious hits to maintain the secrets contained therein. However, he claims to be willing to make the sacrifice, if only she will make public 33,000 deleted emails; not that anyone should believe him. I’m wondering how does one produce deleted emails?

Totally Lacking Judgment

September 16, 2016

in Politics

judgmental-trumpHow obvious can Donald Trump’s lack of judgment can be? Total.

For years he has famously led the tin hats of the conspiracy theory that Obama was born in Kenya. His reluctance to admit that his claims were a fraud were understandable. It has been the ‘red meat’ that was the appeal to the racists that form his base.

Being forced by the Republican establishment to cease embarrassing them finally reached the tipping point. It will not cost him his base. They emulate Trump himself in their inability to admit being wrong. [click to continue…]
