This post may be a bit premature but I doubt it. Perhaps Jeffrey Epstein’s death was a suicide but there are serious questions. How long will it be before the results of the investigation are made public? All we have from the one concerning an ‘attempt’ a month earlier is that there were marks on his neck. I made my attempt to cull the crowd in yesterday’s post. From 10 down to 3 (Mayor Pete, Liz Warren and Bernie) was a decent start for me. Now we need to take a hard look at the other half of those that qualified for the ‘debate.’ It’s past time for the vanity candidates to help the voters make their decisions by dropping out. There were several moments in the first night of the second set of debates that deserve comment, but one stuck out for me. The overall course was the moderates attacking Senators Warren and Sanders. Trump’s favorite quotation from the Bible is Matthew (5:38-42) in the New Testament. All he takes from it is the phrase, “An eye for an eye.” Jesus repudiates even that notion. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. No, no, no. These are not the ones we need to kick out. Why should we kick them out? For displeasing the Bigot-in-Chief? I realize that, unlike most Americans, he cannot quite grasp the concept of the First Amendment’s protection of our right of free speech. He hasn’t quite grasped the position of a president. He fails to comprehend the difference between the limitations placed upon politicians in this country and the lack of restrictions placed on dictators in those countries that he admires.
