This post may be a bit premature but I doubt it. Perhaps Jeffrey Epstein’s death was a suicide but there are serious questions. How long will it be before the results of the investigation are made public? All we have from the one concerning an ‘attempt’ a month earlier is that there were marks on his neck. I am definitely not a conspiracist but there are obvious questions that need to be addressed. [click to continue…]
I made my attempt to cull the crowd in yesterday’s post. From 10 down to 3 (Mayor Pete, Liz Warren and Bernie) was a decent start for me. Now we need to take a hard look at the other half of those that qualified for the ‘debate.’ It’s past time for the vanity candidates to help the voters make their decisions by dropping out. There were several moments in the first night of the second set of debates that deserve comment, but one stuck out for me. The overall course was the moderates attacking Senators Warren and Sanders. Senator Warren responded by saying, I don’t understand why anybody would go to the trouble of running for president of the United States just to talk about what we really can’t do and shouldn’t fight for. Trump’s favorite quotation from the Bible is Matthew (5:38-42) in the New Testament. All he takes from it is the phrase, “An eye for an eye.” Jesus repudiates even that notion. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. As usual, his reading is limited and his comprehension is next to nil. [click to continue…]
I had an experience this morning that I failed to react to appropriately. It’s Sunday. As I was getting out of the car to settle into my wheelchair, one of the church’s greeters wanted my opinion. He’s a very nice gentleman who has never in all these years broached a political issue. [click to continue…]
King John is one of my ancestors. Yeah, I know. That’s nothing to brag about. All of those stories of Robin Hood are fictitious but Johnny deserves his reputation as possibly the worst king in the history of England. Is it just coincidence that he is the lead-in to an article about the worst president in the history of the United States? [click to continue…]
No, no, no. These are not the ones we need to kick out. Why should we kick them out? For displeasing the Bigot-in-Chief? I realize that, unlike most Americans, he cannot quite grasp the concept of the First Amendment’s protection of our right of free speech. He hasn’t quite grasped the position of a president. He fails to comprehend the difference between the limitations placed upon politicians in this country and the lack of restrictions placed on dictators in those countries that he admires. Instead of returning to “where they came from, I think we need their help dealing with some of the problems we have here, some that he caused, some that he has exacerbated. [click to continue…]
Our national embarrassment was accused of rape. His response was that though he is a rapist, this particular lady isn’t his type. He is proud of being a “sexual” predator. Just ask Billy Bush, or recall the tape of his Access Hollywood bus ride. [click to continue…]
You remember our dear leader, Poor Donnie One Note, pushing aside the Prime Minister of Montenegro at a meeting of NATO in Brussels. It sounds like the wail of a perpetual victim. It is do re ME ME ME ME ME ME . . . . . . ad nauseam. [click to continue…]
Here I was this morning just trying to catch up with the news. What happened? Did Mueller find a body? This must really be serious. [click to continue…]
