There is a simple solution to the madness and cruelty of the governors of Florida, Texas and Arizona. Arrest them and throw them in prison. There are federal laws that are applicable. How about kidnapping, transportation of minors across state lines. I’m certain that dutiful federal prosecutors have a few more up their sleeves.
As soon as they cause these immigrants to cross state lines, anyone involved involved is susceptible to arrest and imprisonment.
Given the problems these immigrants face at home, these governors and others responsible would undoubtedly be equally desperate to escape. But, seeing these people as fellow human beings in desperate situations is beyond their limited capacities.
There are other considerations that are being overlooked. An important one is the status of these victims.
Under international law, which we are obligated to honor, (obviously a foreign word to these clowns) they are in entitled to seek asylum. They are entitled to humane treatment. They are entitled to legal representation. They are entitled to being properly housed and fed. Were they fulfilling their obligations, there would not have been a two-year old, separated from its parents and dangerously dehydrated.
These political miscreants, these cretins used fraud to get these people to passively board the planes and buses. They promised the housing and jobs which they made no effort or arrangements to provide. This is another crime.
DeSantis appears to have spent about $12,300 per person for the chartered planes to transport just those first 50 people he used as political pawns. I would hazard a guess that that came from the taxpayers, not the governor. Along with his fellow felons from Texas and Arizona, Abbott and whoever, they have sent them to New York City, the vice president’s home, California and elsewhere.
They also set court dates for those sent to Martha’s Vineyard for Monday in several immigration offices across the country. This was to ensure they would miss their court dates and thereby automatically be classified as illegal and subject to immediate expulsion.
We need to be more worried about the dullards that vote for these embarrassments than these buffoons themselves. Everyone of these governors and their staffs are descendants of immigrants. If only their ancestors had been so treated.
If you found this educational, edifying, interesting or otherwise worth your time, this geezer would appreciate a little supplement to those Social Security checks, They forgot to factor in the cost of publishing a blog and a podcast. I would like to continue being able to afford my daily cup of coffee and pound of caviar.
